Interactive spaces

If you want to keep your scene interactive, but still have that beautiful rendered look, use the baking API

Get a .glb with the light already in it

When baking your scene you get back a new .glb with the pre-rendered light on every surface. It allows your scene to remain spinnable, instead of being a static image or video.

BakedBaked

A ready-made room with the product on its own stand. The light is already painted onto every surface, so the warm wash down the wall and the shadow under the vase stay where they are while you spin it.

up to 2048² lightmaps·high quality·72 object(s) lit·33% of seams in view·57.0 MB to interact

This works really well for scenes with static objects. The drawback is that if your object moves, the lighting and shadows don’t update.

Where baking fits

Baking is a great fit for virtual showrooms, real-estate walkthroughs and physical products that the user simply wants to spin around in the browser.

It can transform a boring-looking preview into an immersive showcase.
